My name is Davis Jones. I am a teacher, learner, and citizen of Seattle, WA. This site is where my academic work, classroom curriculum, and ideas come together. Here I will post graduate papers, lesson plans, and resources designed to make history palatable, relatable, and fun.
My goal is to help us all reframe history as more than a subject to memorize. I want it to be a tool for understanding who we are, where we come from, and the choices that shape our future. This means looking honestly at the past—its triumphs and its injustices—while amplifying voices too often left out of the story. Through my teaching and writing, I hope to spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and show that history can be both approachable and meaningful in everyday life.
This space is for researchers scholars, friends, family members, and anyone curious about history. It’s both a classroom resource and a personal project, a place to keep track of my work and to experiment with making historical learning engaging, digestible, and exciting.
